Poole Town 2025–26 football season
The 2025–26 season is Poole Towns 8th consecutive season in the Southern Premier South Division since relegation from the National South league at the end of 2017-2018 season. This is the first full season where joint management due Pat Suraci and Joe Lea are in charge following their appointment on 9th January 2025 in 2024-2025 season.
Pre-season
Poole Town announced an eight-match schedule ahead of the 2025–26 season. The club opened its programme on 5 July 2025 with an away fixture against Bournemouth Poppies at the Dorset County Ground, followed a week later by a visit to Shaftesbury on 12 July. A midweek match away to Cobham Sports took place on 16 July, before the Dolphins returned to Tatnam to host an AFC Bournemouth XI on 19 July.
The schedule continued with an away match at Brockenhurst on 22 July, before Fareham Town travelled to Tatnam on 26 July. The team then visited Ringwood Town on 29 July, and concluded its pre-season preparations at home against Salisbury on 2 August 2025.
League Season
August
Poole Town began their 2025–26 campaign with a hard-fought 1–0 home victory over Hanwell Town on 9 August, giving them a positive start to the season. Their first away fixture on 12 August saw them fall to a 4–1 defeat against Sholing, marking their heaviest loss of the month. The Dolphins responded strongly on 16 August, edging a high-scoring contest 4–3 away at Bracknell Town.
Back at home on 23 August, Poole were held to a 1–1 draw with Evesham United, before closing out the month with another 1–1 draw away at Plymouth Parkway on 25 August. Overall, Poole recorded one win, two draws, and two defeats in August, leaving them with a mixed but competitive start to the season.
