Mass shooting in New Hampshire, U.S.
On September 20, 2025, mass shooting occurred at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire. One person was killed and several were injured when gunfire broke out inside a restaurant at the country club.[1][2] A suspect was detained by police following the incident.[3]
At approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, Nashua police and emergency medical services responded to reports of an active shooter at the Sky Meadow Country Club, located off Mountain Laurels Drive.[4] Witnesses reported multiple gunshots, prompting a large police and rescue response.[5]
In response to the ongoing threat, the neighboring town of Dunstable, Massachusetts, issued a shelter-in-place order as a precautionary measure.[5] Authorities have not yet released information regarding the conditions of the victims.[5]
Authorities confirmed that several individuals were injured in the shooting. One person was shot in the face, while another sustained a laceration to the arm.[6] At least three victims were transported by ambulance to local hospitals, and additional medical units were requested.[6]
Police originally stated that two armed suspects were involved, with one detained and the other at large and deemed a “threat to the public”.[7][3] However, after reviewing surveillance footage, police determined that the suspect detained was the lone shooter.
The incident prompted a significant law enforcement response, with local police, state authorities, and emergency services coordinating efforts. The community expressed shock, as shootings of this nature are rare in the Nashua area.[8]
