Overview of the events of 2026 in American music

The following is a list of events and releases that have happened or are expected to happen in 2026 in music in the United States.

  • 16 – Nicholas Galanin will release his first album in five years, Stand on My Shoulders.[1]
  • 23 – Lina will release her first album in over ten years, Melodrama.
  • Abysmal Dawn will release their first studio album in six years.[8]
  • Anthrax will release their first studio album in ten years.[9]
  • Archspire will release their first studio album in five years.[10]
  • Cartel will release their first studio album in thirteen years.[11]
  • Chiodos will release their first studio album in twelve years.[12]
  • Clutch will release their first studio album in four years.[13]
  • Down will release their first studio album in nineteen years.[14]
  • Evanescence will release their first studio album in five years.[15]
  • Exodus will release their first studio album in five years. It will be the band’s first album in sixteen years to feature returning vocalist Rob Dukes, following Steve “Zetro” Souza‘s second departure in 2025.[16]
