On December 12, 2024, the Dodgers single–A affiliate, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes were sold to Diamond Baseball Holdings and it was announced that the Dodgers would have a new California League affiliate beginning in 2026.[ 1] On September 18, 2025, the new team was officially unveiled as the Ontario Tower Buzzers , taking the name from a line from the film Top Gun .[ 2]
