The 76th annual Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale, will take place between 12 and 22 February 2026 in Berlin, Germany. German filmmaker Wim Wenders was named the Jury President for the main competition.[1][2]
During the opening ceremony, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh will be awarded the Honorary Golden Bear.[3][4]
World premieres of Hong Sang-soo‘s At The Middle of Life, Alain Gomis‘ Dao, Carlos Reygadas‘ Wake of Umbra, Lisandro Alonso‘s La Liberdad Doble, Markus Schleinzer’s Rose, Anton Corbijn‘s Switzerland, Mahamat-Saleh Haroun‘s Soumsoum, Emily Atef‘s Call Me Queen, Angela Schanelec‘s Thomas le Fort, Werner Herzog‘s Bucking Fastard, Bertrand Mandico‘s Roma elastica, Kamila Andini‘s Four Seasons in Java, Abu Bakr Shawky‘s The Stories, Emin Alper‘s Salvation, Leyla Bouzid‘s A Voix Basse, Amanda Kernell‘s Brace Your Heart, Qiu Jiongjiong‘s Fuxi: Joy in Four Chapters, Wei Shujun‘s Mr. Crane is Back and Mees Peijnenburg’s A Family, are expected in the main competition or parallel section.
