This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on January 29, 2026.

Originally a WP:DICTDEF stub from 2006; was PRODded and subsequently BLAR-with-merge’d in April 2006 (information was also moved offsite to wikt:arctophile). Information lasted from April 2006 until… huh.

• August 27th 2009, business as usual.
• September 1st, 2009, the article’s hit by an IP vandal that changes the reference to teddy bear aficionados being “arctophiles” to “pedophiles”.
• September 2nd, 2009, the entire sentence is removed by a well-meaning IP editor, who presumably hadn’t seen the old version from a few days prior and assumed the vandal had added the entire sentence rather than changing a few words.
• September 2nd, 2009, a few hours later, the IP vandal from before comes back and vandalizes the page again.
• September 2nd, 2009, near immediately, ClueBot reverts to the version from… the well-meaning IP editor.
• Page then goes on as if nothing ever happened, nobody ever noticing that the sentence mentioning arctophiles is now gone.

Misleading redirect, as chemical formulas are always in whole numbers and never seem to have decimals. Edit summary was “create redirect for alternate chemical formula of water”, but this is most likely not true, and there is also no mention in the target article that would support the edit summary. • Delete. It is objectively false that formulas only can have whole numbers. Fractional atom-counts are common in minerals, complex structures, and unit-cell analysis. But…as always a redirect needs to have a meaningful target, such that landing there one can see why one is there. Because this doesn’t, this specific case isn’t a worthy redirect. There is a neighborhood in Chicago called East Side, Chicago, but there apparently is no commonly referred to “east side of Chicago” like there is a west side, south side, and north side (hence this redirect; see The Night Chicago Died#Accuracy).
