Early life and education
[edit]
Dhaliwal was born in 2001 in Firozpur, Punjab.[4] He completed his schooling at DC Model International School and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Guru Nanak College, Firozpur.[4] He later received training in acting and editing at MAD Arts Film School.[4]
In 2018 Dhaliwal started as a composer in theatre plays. He contributed music to a variety of stage productions across languages and regions, including Loona, based on the Punjabi verse play by Shiv Kumar Batalvi; Nil Darpan, a 19th-century Bengali play by Dinabandhu Mitra; Ashadh Ka Ek Din, a Hindi play by Mohan Rakesh; and Odakalu Bimba, a Kannada-language monologue written by Girish Karnad.[4] He was also involved in regional productions such as Don Special, staged in Punjab, and Yaar-Dildaar, which was performed in Chandigarh in 2025. In this same year he also composed music for the play Sallery Credited, performed in Madhya Pradesh.[4] In recognition of his contributions to theatre music, Dhaliwal received an award from the Ministry of Culture in 2020.[1]
Dhaliwal made his debut as a singer and composer in 2022 with the Punjabi single Canada Wali, in which he also appeared as the lead actor.[5] Following his debut, he released several independent Punjabi tracks, including Yaad, Surma, Follow, and Sip Sip.[6]
