Place requests for protection increases at the BOTTOM of this section. If you cannot find your request, check the archive of requests or the page history. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Reason: IP users are waging an edit war with the following false claims: “Consensus is against you, two users support describing it and only you oppose”[1] (Talk:Blue Shirts Society#Definitive proof that the group is not fascist, neither JArthur1984 nor Dimadick expressed direct agreement on adding “para-fascism” link to the infobox.) ProgramT (talk) 07:34, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Consider the edit warring noticeboard – This is a case of possible edit-warring by one or two users. I have so warned the user. But the editing itself is infrequent enough as to not require protection IMO. Daniel Case (talk) 19:55, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent content removal by Anonymous user(s) with little elaboration. Jauhsekali (talk) 11:54, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of three days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Daniel Case (talk) 20:00, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: New user vandalism after the Talk page discussions. 2026-52343-AA (talk) 12:25, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

User(s) blocked. Both the registered and the temp account that have been edit warring. Indef as NOTHERE since they’re both relatively new accounts that have focused only on this article. Which I will also leave a CTOPS notice on the talk page for. Daniel Case (talk) 20:10, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – Per WP:CT/SA since this page talks about caste, discrimination etc. SerChevalerie (talk) 12:50, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protected indefinitely. Will be autologged at CTOPS. Daniel Case (talk) 20:16, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Vandalism Blfun98 (talk) 13:00, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: this appears to be an edit war. Protection does not solve this. If prtected it will be at an arbitrary version. 🇵🇸‍🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦‍🇵🇸 13:11, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protected for a period of three days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Yes, we do this during edit wars, and in that case it doesn’t matter if we protect the “wrong” version; the important thing is stopping the edit war and getting the parties to discuss. ECP rather than full so the grown-ups can still edit, as neither warring editor has achieved that level (and I would caution Blfun not to try to do that by making all sorts of small random edits; you’ll get caught and will have worse problems thannot being able to edit this page. Best interim course of action is to continue to work it out on the talk page.
I will leave a CTOPS notice on the talk page per WP:CT/GG. Daniel Case (talk) 20:31, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum I have amended this report to note that the page for which it appears that protection was requested, and which I did protect, is the article and not the talk page. This way Cyberbot won’t come around and nag me. Daniel Case (talk) 20:45, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: This topic and similar topics are a battleground for biased editors, while serious/unbiased editors have no interest in getting involved.

Recently, one editor edit warred and was eventually blocked for sockpuppetry, and now an unregistered editor made one vandalism edit – semi-protection would at least eliminate potential vandalism. Dalida Editor please ping or message me 13:16, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Consider the edit warring noticeboard – This is a case of possible edit-warring by one or two users. Since you’ve already made a report there, and there’s just the two of you creating problems on the page. Daniel Case (talk) 20:42, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: Left CTOPS notice on talk page per WP:CT/EE. Daniel Case (talk) 20:47, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Multiple temporary IDs / IPs (maybe the same person) keep changing the sourced height of the subject 1.7 m (5 ft 7 in) to the unsourced (possible FanPOV) 1.73 m (5 ft 8 in) [2] [3] [4]. -. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:19, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of three months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Daniel Case (talk) 20:50, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Recent disruption in the article, particularly in regards to the birthplace in the infobox. The consensus (following a recent RfC) is to include the Soviet Union in the infobox for birthplaces/deathplaces. Mellk (talk) 13:37, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – TAs adding unsourced trivia.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 15:31, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – I noticed Vandalism (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=T._S._Eliot&diff=prev&oldid=1335499542) and (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=T._S._Eliot&diff=prev&oldid=1335499327). Tornado Elliott (talk) 15:47, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. 2 recent bad edits does not merit protection. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:20, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content – Persistent and long term addition of unsourced content by a plethora of IPs and registered users, ongoing since December. Especially bad this month. All the editors were notified using user warning templates, and there’s an open discussion regarding the list on the talk page.
