History
Sethi Brothers was established in 1989 as a distributor of construction materials in Monrovia. In 2018, the company began building a US$22 million steel plant in the Chicken Soup Factory community, District #12, to process local scrap into steel products and create employment.[1][2] By mid-2019, the plant employed hundreds of workers during early operations, with plans to scale up further.[2]
Operations
The company supplies a range of construction materials through its headquarters on Jamaica Road, Monrovia, and a retail branch in Clara Town. In addition to its Liberian operations, Sethi Brothers maintains a presence in Ghana and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, focusing on regional trade and material sourcing. Its steel division, Sethi Ferro Fabrik, produces reinforcement bars and other steel profiles for the domestic market.[1][2]
The company also has a lesser-known section devoted to copperworks. From conduction rods to medals and trophies, the small copper warehouse next to the steel factory also sells and manufactures goods.
