Translation help needed for bilingual welcome template
Template:Welcome-foreign/Hungarian

Hello. Can you help verify a brief, English-to-Hungarian translation in a welcome template?

Template:Welcome-foreign is a bilingual welcome template used to welcome new users who have written content in some other language besides English. The template welcomes them first in English, then in their own language, as long as it is one of the three dozen languages it can handle. New languages are easily added. An editor added support for Hungarian to the template, but I am not sure he knows Hungarian and may have used automatic translation to create Template:Welcome-foreign/Hungarian from the original at Template:Welcome-foreign/English. I’d appreciate it if a native Hungarian speaker could verify or improve the translation. Feel free to edit it directly, or paste a better translation below, if you prefer not to edit a template. Thanks! Mathglot (talk) 04:59, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi, there is an ongoing debate about the Hungarian Spectrum. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Hungarian_Spectrum

If You are interested, please weigh in!

In the Puskás Akadémia FC article there is a section entitled “Trivia” that leans on political propaganda and makes claims without citing sources. It would behoove us to remove this section for the sake of neutrality, as the author is clearly displaying bias with his comments.

I just can’t find the way to insert myself into the list of participants. I have no idea where to copy this: #Wiki-tom76 (talk · contribs) 03:54:53, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi, an user started an arbitrary edit war to claim that imperial Austria and royal Hungary as states is not the legal successor of modern Austria and Hungary as states, even removing the warning note “not to change without sources/consensus”. The user does not understand that this is about the statehood not about borders https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Austria-Hungary&diff=prev&oldid=1323056230 OrionNimrod (talk) 09:27, 20 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:

There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say “priority” instead of “importance”. This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners.
