Question from KeivanSamadi (11:20, 9 February 2026)
Hello,

I am writing to disclose a conflict of interest and to request independent review.

A draft article about me, Keyvan Samadi, has been prepared in my user sandbox. I am an Iranian human rights activist and former political prisoner. Due to COI concerns, I will not publish the article myself.

The draft is based entirely on independent, reliable secondary sources, including:

– Die Zeit

– CNN

– IranWire

– Journal21

– de Volkskrant

I would be grateful if an independent editor could review the draft and, if it meets Wikipedia’s notability and neutrality standards, consider moving it to the mainspace.

Thank you for your time and consideration. –KeivanSamadi (talk) 11:20, 9 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello Jeffrey R. Clark,

New Page Review queue April to June 2023

Backlog

Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it’s only for a few or even one review a day.

Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension’s code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.

Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick “Yet Another AFC Helper Script”, then click “Save”. To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick “Articles for Creation”. To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the “More” menu, then click “Review (AFCH)”. You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.

You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don’t forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.

Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this “creative professionals” criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).

Hi! How do I create a Wikipedia page? —Lilith bayfield (talk) 02:47, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@HACKER007-SHIP-IT this is not Nick-D’S talk page. What can I help you with? Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 02:44, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jeffery,

I’ve reworked my Articles for Creation draft to address a previous notability decline. The article has now been rebuilt around independent, profile-style coverage from regional newspapers where I am the primary subject, and I’ve also declared a conflict of interest on the Talk page.

Before resubmitting again, I’d appreciate your advice on whether the current sources and structure now meet the notability guideline for biographies, or if there’s anything specific AfC reviewers are likely to still consider insufficient.

Thank you for your time. —WikiObscura (talk) 16:11, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiObscura I’ll be happy to take a look here in a bit. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 03:40, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. WikiObscura (talk) 04:34, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiObscura Hate to say this, but even with the added sources, the person you are trying to create an article for is likely not notable enough to have a standalone article about them. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 09:05, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reviewing the draft and for your explanation.
If you are able to advise, I would appreciate any guidance on the type of coverage that would be sufficient in future for a standalone biography. For example, whether a more profile-style article focused primarily on the individual, rather than issue-led coverage, would address the notability concerns you raised.
Thank you again for your time. WikiObscura (talk) 13:35, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiObscura My advice would be for you to read the following First,Biographies of living persons,Neutral point of view,No original research, and Verifiability. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 03:01, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated. ~2026-28446-8 (talk) 03:35, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Can you make it more accurate. Police cars are driving in the rail station and also sometimes checking the metro in the surface level. Can you add the map of the dankal railway station. —Fgruy998 (talk) 17:55, 11 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

My name is Sahar Asmar, and I am from DarGlobal. I am reaching out to inquire about our Wikipedia page DarGlobal. I would like to request access to our page so I can make edits and add additional information as needed. Could you please assist me with this process?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DarGlobalSaharasmar (talk) 14:16, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Saharasmar You have a Conflict of interest as you have stated that you have a connection to DarGlobal, so it would be unwise for you, yourself, to make edits to the article. However, you can Disclose your connection and propose changes on the articles talk page for other editors to review and make the changes themselves. Jeffrey R. @SALMANANAS786 I can offer you advice on changes that need to be made, but I don’t approve articles that are in processing vie AFC of users that I’m mentoring. Your article has already been declined because the provided sources don’t show that the person for which you’re trying to create an article for is notable. You have resubmitted the article for review without making a single change to correct the issues that were pointed out during the previous review, so in all likelihood it will be declined again. My advice to you would be for you to read the following pages First,Biographies of living persons,Neutral point of view,No original research, and Verifiability. Jeffrey R. Hi Jeffry. I am looking to create a page on behalf of my company. —Claire Lilley (talk) 11:47, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Claire Lilley So far you’re doing everything the right way, from looking into your contributions, you have disclosed your connection to the company that you work for and wish to create an article for so that’s good. I also see that you have started to work on the page in a subpage, which is fine, once you have completed that work in the subpage, and you think it’s ready to be pushed to the main space, you should submit it to Articles for Creation that way it can be reviewed by a third party to see if its ready and meets the relevant guidelines. If the article is accepted, it will be published into the main space. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 05:56, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks, Jeffrey. Claire Lilley (talk) 11:09, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Claire Lilley Your welcome. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 11:13, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I’ve proposed an update to the lead section of the Hubstaff article to better reflect WP:LEAD and WP:NPOV. The current lead jumps straight into criticism before describing what the company actually does.

My suggestion (posted on the Talk page) keeps all existing sources and criticism but starts with a more neutral description of the company and its software.

What’s the best way to move this forward as someone with a COI? And how should I respond if editors see this as promotional, even though I’ve followed guidelines and kept everything sourced?
Thanks so much for your guidance! —Rashika Mukherjee (talk) 15:25, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Rashika Mukherjee First make no further edits to the Hubstaff article, you have already posted an edit request you will just need to wait for a third party editor to come and review it. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 06:09, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Jeffrey. Understood. I won’t make any further edits myself. Just to clarify, is there a typical timeframe for when a third-party editor might review and respond to the request on the Talk page? I just wanted to check if there’s anything else I should expect in the meantime.
Thanks again for your guidance! Rashika Mukherjee (talk) 15:50, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Rashika Mukherjee Well as of right now there is a big backlog, so cant say for sure how long it will take. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 11:14, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I am mostly interested in citations.

I have a question about this one:
Would https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/every-picture-tells-a-story-6364662/

Be a reputable enough source for the claim: ” Larry Gelbart had a sister, Marcia Gelbart Walkenstein.[citation needed]” ?

The source in question is not listed on Wikipedia’s sources list. Thanks! —NoneDynamics (talk) 22:59, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@NoneDynamics looks like a good source to me. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 23:44, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

What do I do if this article was recommended to edit, yet it seems almost perfect? —Jaxx99 (talk) 22:21, 3 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Jaxx99 Articles that are recommended are done so randomly, so just move on to another article if you think nothing can be done to improve upon it. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 22:40, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

What makes a topic notable enough for a Wikipedia page? —Tulshidhar Bhandari (talk) 10:21, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Tulshidhar Bhandari A topic is notable when it has received significant coverage in third party sources that are independent of the subject. This article goes into more depth on Notability and would be a good thing for you to read to get a better understanding. Jeffrey R. Clarktalkcontribs 04:20, 9 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
