Motor racing competition
The 2026 Formula Regional European Championship is a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Europe. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This is the seventh season of the championship.
Teams and drivers
Driver changes
Prema Racing saw Freddie Slater graduate to FIA F3, with Slater joining Trident.[1]
Jin Nakamura will leave R-ace GP, as the TGR Junior driver will leave the series to move up to FIA F3 with Hitech GP.[2]
Trident promoted Matteo De Palo to their FIA F3 team.[3]
Van Amersfoort Racing promoted Hiyu Yamakoshi from its FRECA outfit and signed Jesse Carrasquedo Jr., who deputized for Hitech TGR for two rounds in 2025.[4]
