Somebody needs to fix up this article, or perhaps just start over. “With remarkable tenacity and immeasurable hard work…”? This is supposed to be an encyclopedia, not a little diary. Geek210 (talk) 06:14, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
This is regarding the hand-stamping section of this version. While it does seem superficially like gossip, this was covered in more-or-less reliable national media,[1][2][3] (or international if we want to count the Daily Mail, but I’d rather not). It was also in local media over an extended period of time,[4][5] which suggest lasting encyclopedic significance. At the very least, removing it without comment is non-productive. I have recently expanded and improved several sections of the Peak to Peak Charter School article:
- Academics – Added detailed information on AP courses, graduation requirements, standardized test outcomes, and gifted/talented programs, with reliable citations. Integrated the U.S. News ranking into the section.
- Accreditation and Recognitions – Rewrote for clarity and neutrality, added state and national recognitions, including John Irwin School of Excellence and Boulder Valley School District ratings, with sources. Removed the {{confusing}} tag.
- Athletics and Extracurriculars – Expanded the section with all sports offered, added notable achievements including tennis, basketball, track and field, and Alexandra Eschmeyer’s high school basketball career, fully sourced.
- Controversies / Incidents – Moved the hand-stamping controversy from its previous section into a new “Controversies and Incidents” section, rewrote for neutral tone, included both sides’ statements, and added full citations from CBS and Daily Camera.
All edits adhere to Wikipedia’s guidelines for neutrality, verifiability, and reliable sourcing. Feedback or suggestions for further improvements are welcome. MikePascoe (talk) 14:13, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
