I have created a Barnister for Maharashtra potral it can be found over herelink title —Preceding unsigned comment added by Suyogaerospace (talk • contribs) 11:21, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Guys I personally feel that the main page should be reorganized so that more information can be included on the main page. I suggest we make some tabs and then add details like the contributors, the areas(i.e articles)included in the scope of this project. Please add your suggestions. Swapnils2106 (talk) 16:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Swapnils2106,
- On the one hand, I’ll like to butt in and say that I think the project page is fine as is. The list of participants should probably be moved out of the way, as it’s growing long and unwieldy, and the end of the page – with the barnstars et al – should be cleaned up, but other than that … I like how it is right now. Very to-the-point and informative.
- … but on the other hand, the WikiProject isn’t – I think? – really doing much together (other than using this talk page to get opinions on articles), so if you’ve got plans for WP:M, and think reorganizing the project page is the way to go about it – go right ahead, and all the best! If you’re not sure of how it’s going to come out, you could create another page (Wikipedia:WikiProject Maharashtra/Alternate layout, perhaps?), set up the alternate layout there, then get opinions from this talk page before copying that onto the main WP:M page.
- … oh, and – of course – feel free to disregard all of the above and be bold!
- — Gaurav (talk) 18:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi I kind-off agree with your views on this, there are not many people contributing to this page and the project in general. your idea of creating an alternate page seems to be superb. For the time being I have changed the layout a bit. I will certianly move the list of participants to a diffrent tab in a few days. The things which I did not like about the page was the introduction to the project the set goals and the scope. The presentation looked absolutely amatuer, and the wording was childish as well. Please check out the changes I made and let me know if you all think it was really needed. Swapnils2106 (talk) 12:44, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Language chauvinism
Hi All Members of Maharashtra Wiki,
I would just like to bring to the member’s notice that there is a repeated vandalism
by Kannada chauvinist. They are adding Kannada name references to pages of cities like
Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Miraj, Gadhinglaj for unnecessary reasons.
I know that some parts of these districts may have Kannada speaking population
but these cities themselves are majority Marathi population.
I had also raised this issue in the talk page of Solapur a long ago.
But looks like most of the members have turned a blind eye towards this.
Requesting all members to take a note of this and do the needful.
Regards
Jay Maharashtra
Just for you attention.
The Solapur wiki page is repeatedly getting vandalised by adding Kannada name of the city
for no logical reasons.
Some other city pages may be subjected to this.
Requesting all to take a note on this.

There is a dispute on Talk:Maharashtra#Marathi_statement_dispute about inclusion of the following ststements in Marathi (lead), Maharashtra and Pune articles:
| “ | Standard Marathi is defined as the language that is spoken by the Deshastha Brahmins of Pune. Standard Marathi is the official language of Maharashtra. | ” |
Please help to form a consensus by giving your valuable comments. Thanks. —Redtigerxyz Talk 09:53, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Hi members, just a suggestion. Would be great if we organize an edit-a-thon on May 1, i.e on Maharashtra Day to work together on the article of our state Maharashtra. The article has quite a lot of issues, for which its is being tagged incl. Its neutrality is disputed, It needs to be updated, etc. What say? — ♪Karthik♫ ♪Nadar♫ 11:17, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Dear editors,
I believe that the following content violates wikipedia policy on advertising. Moreover, the editor does not provide valid verifiable references for the entry. Please refer to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_soapbox_or_means_of_promotion
“Many builders like P3 Developers, Rama Builders, Ellora Builders, Pharande Spaces, Privia Group have been involved in making top end projects in this Industrial Belt of Pune.”
I have marked it as dubious and have requested comments. This content has previosuly been removed by other editors, although it gets reentered. I do not know how to proceed with this. Please help.

As of now, this deserves an article (passes GNG). The movement has been going on for around five years: plenty of sources. Also, other documented requests redates the events of Maratha Kranti Morcha. I have created a rudimentary draft, and added some sources at Draft talk:Maratha Aarakshan movement#Usable sources. But unfortunately I dont have much experience with creating such articles. Would somebody help me please? But I can work on it with help/collaboration. Also, I can bring in the relevant sources from last 10 years easily.
Once the article is in mainspace/listed by search engines, a lot more people would add to it; and I will handle the issues of POV, adding sources, and other stuff including gnoming. All I need is help in the beginning. Also, I request to continue the discussion on Draft talk:Maratha Aarakshan movement, as I have posted this message to 3-4 different, but mostly inactive, venues. Thanks a lot in advance, —usernamekiran(talk) 19:14, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
I’ve been working on cleaning up, sourcing and expanding the page for the Mumbai Fire Brigade, and would appreciate some feedback/a fresh pair of eyes to see what needs to be done to further improve the page. Thanks! R1988 (talk) 14:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
Is this a notable road, or not? Please ping me. Bearian (talk) 21:27, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I am ExclusiveEditor and I have noticed that there is no WikiProject for the Konkan division of Maharashtra state. Konkan is a vast part of Maharashtra and there are many categories and subcategories regarding it, also there are numerous pages about its vast culture. What I have seen is that the quality of the pages can be much improved if there is a special WikiProject for it, and therefore I have proposed WikiProject Konkan here. Kindly support the proposal and join it when ready if interested. Regards ExclusiveEditor (talk) 10:31, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

- New Page Patrol needs experienced volunteers
- New Page Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles, including Maharashtra related articles. We could use a few extra hands on deck if you think you can help.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn’t take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; Wikipedia needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
- If you would like to join the project and help out, please see the granting conditions and review our instructions page. You can apply for the user-right HERE. —John B123 (talk) 14:11, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Community,
I had done some edits to Introduction Section of article on Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Shivaji&oldid=1160298444 ) to make it more balanced and focussed on facts, but one of the users has reverted it.
I started discussion on Talk page (Talk:Shivaji#Introduction Section Needs Changes), but we are at an impasse. It would be great if some people from Project Maharashtra can pitch in and share their opinion. Nonentity683 (talk) 12:14, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

The article Krushnashastri Chiplunkar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Tagged as Unreferenced for 6 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article’s talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have created a new category for Marathi film posters.
Here’s the category: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Marathi_Film_Posters
Requesting everyone to please add this category to as many Marathi films as you can.
Maybe in the future, we can group these by decades for further ease of use. Kingsacrificer (talk) 21:30, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Morekar You might want to contribute to this. Kingsacrificer (talk) 09:55, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Kingsacrificer, The category for Marathi film posters already exists as Category:Film posters for Marathi-language films. Morekar (talk) 10:24, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, but that category name is not consistent with Category:Indian film posters
