*:If a Team Star Fox article were created, I’m not sure what the value of the list would be. From what I can see, the only characters with any level of even theoretical notability outside of Team Star Fox would be Wolf and Andross, and two entries doesn’t really pass muster for me. *”’Keep”’ I reject the premise of the nomination: the topic of “Characters of X” is “X” and shares notability with (not inherits notability from) X and can be split from X or merged with X per SIZE or NOPAGE as needed. Even so, the GNG is still met the sources listed above. [[User:Jclemens|Jclemens]] ([[User talk:Jclemens|talk]]) 04:10, 11 October 2025 (UTC) |

A list of characters from the Star Fox series. Per WP:LISTN, subjects in lists need the overarching topic to meet notability guidelines, but there is little to no discussion of Star Fox characters as a set; the only discussion I can find are either scattered pieces of development info, or reception pertaining to specific characters (Namely Fox McCloud, who already has a separate article). Much of this list in question is comprised of one-off or two-off characters, who can easily be covered at their respective game articles; the core “recurring” cast (Namely the main Star Fox team, the main Star Wolf team, General Pepper, Krystal, and Andross) can easily be merged into Star Fox with little issue, especially once their plot summaries are trimmed down. This article on its own does not meet notability guidelines, and is better contained within its parent article. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 23:14, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Fictional elements, Science fiction and fantasy, Video games, Lists, and Japan. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 23:14, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Demonstrates passing of WP:LISTN. Nintendo World Report, IGN, Eurogamer all have decently significant mentions, and Retro Gamer puts the final nail in the coffin with regards to this list’s notability. This is a WP:SURMOUNTABLE issue and AfD is not cleanup, nor is it for merging articles willy-nilly in lieu of actually improving them. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 02:14, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Zxcvbnm Eurogamer seems to be pretty small beyond “fans made fan art”. Retro Gamer is pure plot summary. IGN and NWR are decent, but are only discussing the core “four” Star Fox team members of Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy as a group; the overall series characters aren’t being discussed, only the Star Fox team. If anything this lends credence to this subset being notable, not the wider topic of characters as a whole. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 02:20, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- It’s certainly arguable that the Star Fox team is notable instead of the series’ characters. I would not oppose a move to Star Fox (fictional organization) or something along those lines, I simply oppose wholesale deletion or merging. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 02:24, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
- I would say that such an article could be called Team Star Fox, as this is a term used in official media and gets across what it is more gracefully than a disambig. – Cukie Gherkin (talk) 02:48, 11 October 2025 (UTC)

- Keep per the claims of @Zxcvbnm: and create a Team Star Fox Team as well. —Rtkat3 (talk) 02:56, 11 October 2025 (UTC)
