@4meter4, the deletion discussion ran its course and was closed per consensus, though it’s unfortunate your contribution didn’t make it in time. In this case, I think the simplest solution is simply for you to recreate the article, with good sourcing and being careful not to use a promotional tone or content. There’s no rule against recreating a deleted article, particularly if the new version is substantially different. Someone might re-nominate it for deletion at AfD, of course, but if it is a good article that makes it clear why Kurda is notable then odds are good it will remain on the encyclopedia. Again, be sure to make the new version substantially improved from the old, or it would run afoul of WP:G4. For your convenience I’ve placed a copy of the now-deleted article at User:Ganesha811/Diyar so you can pull from it and use it for reference. Hi Ganesha, I am a bit surprised to get this response ‘Sources are on another person Bhupen who is related to the subject’. I am not quite sure if the draft was thoroughly reviewed.

Yes, the subject is related to Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika, and citations, articles and songs are involve him as well. However, I was hoping that the reviewers would notice the following regarding the subject:

– first woman singer (at least one of the first, till that is establised) from the seven states of north east India to record a HMV vinyl with two tracks

– part of the team that represented Assam for the first participation of Assam on Republic Day parade in New Delhi

– all orginal recordings of her songs linked (including her famous duet’s with Bhupen Hazarika and famous Bengali singer Ila Bose (for Assamese film Shakuntala)

– her contributions are less references in the media because most of her work is in 60s and 70s.

– but her work is acknowledged as she is the recipient of the Assam Government Artist (Shilpi) Pension which is conferred only to Artists with substantial contibution

– her contributions and stature in Assamese society is well recognized within the cultural landscape (see mentions and photos of her – being invited to be a part of unveiling of the coin of India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, being invited to present the Bhupen Hazarika award to cultural icon Zubeen Garg who unfortunately recently passed, creating a big void in the Assamese cultural landscape.

– her newspaper articles, especially the one by The Sillong Times (in English) and the other by ‘Dainik Agradoot’ encaptulates all the details of her life an dconbtribution to the cultural field.

So, I am a bit surprised at the review comment’Sources are on another person Bhupen who is related to the subject’. I am assuming that the reviewer did not review thoroughly and/or is not really aware of the nuances of the cultural nuances of India and Assam.

I come across many pages of people with far less substance and references, so I am still trying to comprehend the democratic process of wikipedia editorial governance.

It looks like you may have better insight of the regional nuances.

Can you please suggest next steps towards publishing of this page?

Hello! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I don’t think you’ve made any major mistakes I can see, but the key thing to know is not to take it personally if the article is nominated for deletion. It’s just a way of starting a discussion about whether the subject is notable enough. If you think Ayham Mishmishan meets the WP:GNG or another notability guideline, go ahead and make the case in a comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ayham MishMishan. In a week or so, someone else will come along to close the discussion and determine consensus. Hello! We can discuss this further on the article’s talk page, but there are 2 reasons I’m removing your change; first of all, the claim that Mamonova is “considered the founder of the Russian women’s movement” is not well-supported. Secondly, the tone is promotional – describing her as “internationally renowned and award winning” is WP:PUFFERY, which keeps Wikipedia from being neutral. Hi Ganesha811, thanks for offering to be my mentor. I rushed in and tried to achieve my initial goal quickly and skipped saying hello and asking for guidance, sorry. I mainly joined to help a good friend who has a famous grandfather. I had suggested he deserves and needs to have an entry on Wikipedia. My friend asked if I could help. I came in with the idea to quickly create the article and get him published. Then I would learn how to add details and make it look better. After being Declined twice, my article was moved to the Draft section with some added bonus editing to help guide me. I added a bit more and then didn’t know how to save it. It seemed like Publish was the button to hit. So I did and now I don’t know how to find it to work on it more. Am I best to wait and a some stage hear that it has been Declined or Accepted, then add more details or can we find it and continue to work on it.
