- Carbidopa/levodopa/entacapone:
I saw that you have some of these changes in mind in your Outline. I think these modifications would be good.
Lead
- If there’s any information on popularity as a medication, that might be good to know. Not super important.
Sidebar
- The addition of the molecular structures for the medications on the sidebar, and pictures of pills and devices under administration methods might provide more information, also somewhat of an aesthetic choice.
Side Effects
- Are there any more sources available with side effects or overdose info?
Contraindications
- I would clarify selegiline and rasagiline are MAO-B inhibitors. You might clarify MAO-B is involved in the metabolism of catecholamines, and that their inhibition generally leads to greater concentrations in the synaptic cleft.
- The second paragraph could probably be broken into two to help readability.
Mechanism of Action
- Information on each component medication could be broken into small paragraphs.
- The single source listed is a website with many links to papers. It would be good to collate which specific articles are being referenced or find another reference on the MoA. The given explanation appears to be accurate, though.
History
- Research on when this medication combo began being used would be helpful.
Administration methods
- A new section to describe oral vs novel administration methods like LECIG and the relative advantages. Availability by country and advantages over oral medication would seem important enough to add.
- Devices involved might be good to link to if there’s a wiki page on them.
