The Tomlinson Fort House is a historic house in Milledgeville, Ga. It was completed in 1820 by Tomlinson Fort (1787- 1859) [1] and is located at 321 South Liberty Street (northeast corner of Greene and Liberty Streets). He was a member of both the Georgia House of Representatives (1818-1826) [2] and United States House of Representatives (1827-1829) [3] from Georgia. Fort ended his political career as Mayor of Milledgeville (1847-1848). [4]

The structure is currently standing and is featured in the “Historic Walking Tour” Guide available at the Milledgeville Visitor’s Center.

A historic marker for the house was erected at the property in 1961. [5]
