Indefinite extended-confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement. Freedoxm (talk · contribs) 04:14, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Freedoxm: I don’t consider an article “strictly within the Arab-Israeli conflict topic area” for WP:PIA‘s ECP by default just because it is a region or place in Israel or Palestine. Do you have evidence of disruption on these articles? (Please be more specific than just “Arbitration enforcement” in protection requests.) ~ Jenson (SilverLocust 💬) 04:36, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protected indefinitely. There has been recent disruption along exactly the lines the topic area is drawn on (And I would add that since Israel includes the Golan Heights in this administrative subdivision, per the article, it is a primary topic within PIA and thus should be ECPed regardless of disruption). Just because a filer here didn’t go into specifics does not mean you can’t look at the article history yourself and see whether the request was justified. Will be autologged at CTOPS. Same question as above ~ Jenson (SilverLocust 💬) 04:39, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protected indefinitely. The topic-related disruption is not, unlike the others, recent, but it’s there. Daniel Case (talk) 21:23, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: IPs keep making the same unsourced change and I keep reverting it. BBQboffingrill me 04:37, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Question: @BBQboffin: While they didn’t source it, it looks like the IP is correct and Barloon has been confirmed – [1]. – The Bushranger One ping only 08:09, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of two weeks, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Disruption has continued since then. Daniel Case (talk) 21:28, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Vandalism after PP lapse. Nswix (talk) 08:41, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of 10 days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Left CTOPS notice on talk Daniel Case (talk) 21:33, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Ban evasion by User:Brettandelle – Continued disruption from LTA a month after page protection was lifted. HorrorLover555 (talk) 09:18, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended-confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement. for move only. Isn’t this usually applied (like protecting both the editing and the move of the page) for ARBPIA? Freedoxm (talk · contribs) 09:20, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Declined I don’t know, and since there haven’t been any attempts to move-vandalize the page in the four years since it was indef ECPed, I don’t think its necessary. Daniel Case (talk) 21:40, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – Relevant to WP:ARBPIA sanctions, has seen some repeated vandalism or vandalism adjacent edits in the recent past. Thanks in advance!. Smallangryplanet (talk) 11:04, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Declined Subject is only tangentially related to PIA … most of the controversies in the article are related to Qatar and the other Gulf States. Daniel Case (talk) 21:43, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement. Filmssssssssssss (talk) 12:20, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protected indefinitely. To be autologged at CTOPS. Daniel Case (talk) 21:47, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent disruptive editing to the lead from IPv6 range hopper. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 13:56, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary extended confirmed protection: Persistent disruptive editing – There’s been an unusually large number of useless topic additions recently. GSK (talkedits) 14:01, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of three months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Most of the disruption is coming from IPs, so this is all that’s needed. Daniel Case (talk) 21:59, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Recurrence of the same slow edit warring by an IP editor from the Sau Paulo area as described at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection/Archive/2025/10#12-hour clock after expiration of range block. Jc3s5h (talk) 14:48, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Filmssssssssssss (talk) 15:18, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary extended confirmed protection: Non-stop content dispute between IP users, new users with 10+ edits, and experienced editors in pro wrestling topics. Article has become unstable since September. Mann Mann (talk) 15:25, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent IP vandalism (which is basically @Draymondlabiad changing IPs to WP:PEACOCK the page), a permanent semi-protection would avoid this. BRDude70 (talk) 15:45, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Now the IP (@89.244.83.179) intentionally broke the WP:3RR rule. Can someone intervene please? BRDude70 (talk) 16:01, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Persistent vandalism. CallumPaxton (talk) 15:45, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Recent increase in vandalism. Entranced98 (talk) 16:09, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – I believe the edit war regarding the boycott falls under the Arab-Israeli contentious topic. There have also been numerous unrelated disruptive edits since the last protection expired.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 16:13, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Filmssssssssssss (talk) 16:44, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – Indian caste article. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:52, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: IP is back, edit warring over the result in the infobox. TurboSuperA+[talk] 17:03, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: IP back and forths have been going on since at least late September, with no talk-page discussion happening. Seasider53 (talk) 17:32, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was making a good faith effort to fix an error (or possible vandalism) caused by ip78[2] but perhaps I didn’t explain that clearly enough in my edit summary.
If page protection on the article really needs to be increased then I would suggest that Flagged Revisions might be enough. — 109.79.166.128 (talk) 18:17, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Vandalism and misinformation 139.64.43.131 (talk) 18:41, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent vandalism from unregistered users. x2step (lets talk 💌) 18:50, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) This vandalism is somewhat sporadic and not terribly heavy. Could be a case for PC. Entranced98 (talk) 19:22, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – School kid quality vandalism has returned since protection was downgraded to PC a few weeks ago. This is clearly a perennial problem. Given that the majority of IP/new account edits are vandalism, going back to indef semi may be for the best. Entranced98 (talk) 19:17, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite semi-protection: Frequent target of IPs used by WP:LTA/HABS. The Kip (contribs) 19:18, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Returned after a month of protection. Entranced98 (talk) 19:27, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content – Current event with multiple editors repeatedly inserting unsourced content without attempting to build consensus or seek discussion. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 19:46, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: There is a dynamic IP (so not the same one address) that comes to this page to remove the text saying that this person is of Indian origin. This is in the provided source, and the user has not said why this must be removed. Pure disruption. [3] [4] [5] I think pending changes may be better (to have more eyes than just me) and semi-protection would be kind of useless as these edits are over a week apart each. Unknown Temptation (talk) 19:54, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – IP editor repeatedly changes tense, for which there is no consensus, and also inserts some kind of Hitler reference, which appears to be possibly problematic in this BLP. They’ve been coming back repeatedly, but it has been more frequent recently. Perhaps a month or two of protection might help them to lose interest?. Indefinitely Creation Extended confirmed protection: Persistent vandalism and repeatedly recreation and has been nominated deletion. 24.189.72.194 (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It has been protected temporary once now is time for indefinitely protection. 24.189.72.194 (talk) 20:35, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite extended-confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement. per WP:CT/SA. Freedoxm (talk · contribs) 21:56, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
