The Reform Sri Lanka (RSL) is a right-wing, conservative, and libertarian political party in Sri Lanka. It was founded in November 2031 by Chehan Rajapaksha and is currently led by Geeshan Wijemanne. As of 2047, the party holds 164 seats in Parliament, 6 seats in Provincial Councils, and 5,978 councillors in Local Government.
History
Reform Sri Lanka was founded by a young Gen Z political group aiming to introduce a new conservative movement. The party was officially recognized by the Election Commission on 10 February 2032.
The party contested its first parliamentary election in 2035, winning 2 seats. Chehan Rajapaksha ran for president in 2034, receiving 6.17% of the vote, and won the presidency in 2039 with 46.51%.
After completing his term, Chehan stepped down as party leader in 2045. Rehan Wijemanne, the then Deputy Leader and Prime Minister, succeeded him as Leader after winning the 2044 presidential election with 64.51% of the vote. Kalana Fernando became Deputy Leader and Prime Minister, and Ruhi Udurawana became Secretary. Rehan was re-elected unopposed as party leader in 2046.
