Hi, I want to add a name to the List of prematurely reported obituaries. Not sure how to get started. Please advise. Thanks!! —Sharon E Weed (talk) 15:41, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sharon E Weed: This may be difficult to do per WP:LISTCRIT; it’s not clear to me how one would determine inclusion criteria for this sort of list. This is not to say that there aren’t lists with fuzzy inclusion criteria on Wikipedia, but something to keep in mind. The process here would involve creating a new article through this guide and formatting it as a list – let me know if you have any other questions! AviationFreak💬 14:27, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There are articles online from reputable sources which detail this famous person’s premature obits, so they is well-documented.
This is my first edit, so I don’t need to get started.
Thanks! Sharon E Weed (talk) 15:06, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sharon E Weed: Oh, I’m sorry – I misread what you had said above as asking about starting a new list article! For adding an entry to the list, I’d recommend using the “edit source” function to create a new entry following the formatting and referencing style of other entries in the list. Hi there, I am trying to add a newly published book with ISBN. I cannot seem to add using citation? Please advise.
Thanks —KJBailie (talk) 02:27, 29 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@KJBailie: You’d need to be more specific with what you’re having an issue with, but it seems (based on your contribution history) that you may have figured this out. Let me know if you have any other questions! AviationFreak💬 14:28, 1 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@TDKR Chicago 101: Cheers, and happy birthday! AviationFreak💬 00:37, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you 🙂 I accidentally gave myself credit lol. TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 00:38, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I’m trying to get my article approved. Would you be able to tell me where I am going wrong with referencing? I assumed it was just linking the site of the information which I thought I had done. BayHarborButcher1 (talk) 03:24, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@BayHarborButcher1: From a quick glance, it looks like most of the sourcing on your draft is pulled from The Courier-Mail, which is a tabloid and therefore of questionable reliability, and the AFL Queensland website itself, which is not a independent source. See the general notability guideline for a full outline of the requirements for notability, and let me know if you have other questions! AviationFreak💬 05:49, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Just lost on that though cos looking at every other local football team they all have the same sources but they’re published BayHarborButcher1 (talk) 23:30, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It’s worth reading this section – the existence of similar articles doesn’t make any given subject notable. I’ll also point out that none of the three different opponents listed under the “Grand Finals” section of your draft have articles. The level at which a sports team competes is generally the largest factor in its notability, as this will drive sources being created about it. AviationFreak💬 03:22, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

looking to fix come citation needed stuff on an article and think i have it figured out (both the sources and how to edit it), but some tutorial articles mentioned a draft. will “Publish changes” submit it for review or make it live instantly and how do i avoid the second (in case i f-ed up, yknow) —MaeLovesBread (talk) 21:13, 11 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@MaeLovesBread: Yes, “publish changes” will make your changes live instantly. At least in the Source Editor, there’s a “show preview” option that will allow you to see what the article would look like with your changes applied (but does not actually update the page – if you scroll to the bottom when previewing, you’ll see the option to publish changes). A draft is a separate thing – drafts are pages that can be created/edited to workshop an article over time before actually publishing it. AviationFreak💬 01:56, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@OKAK robloks0112: Привет; ты хотел ru:Заглавная страница? AviationFreak💬 19:16, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I hope you are doing well. It has been a while, but I have a question regarding what should be done for an article (if you’re wondering, it is Stanisław Poniatowski (1676–1762)) that is listed as good but relies too heavily on a single source. I feel it may not meet good article criteria, and when I view it when it was promoted (2012 I believe), it seems like it NEVER should have been promoted. So, I was wondering, what steps should I take with this? Would a maintenance template be appropriate first or should I discuss this on the talk page? Is there anything else I should know about this issue? Apologies if I overload you, but thank you. —OliviaRigby (talk) 07:05, 18 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
