He is best known as the founder of Haijahr Limited, a Suffolk-based consultancy specializing in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable business practices. He is also the author of Tiny Warriors: Lena & Luca, a forthcoming book chronicling his family’s experiences with neonatal intensive care.
Early life and education
Ashley Gary Johnson was born on 21 July 1987 in Brighton, England, and spent most of his early life there before moving to Norfolk during his final year of school. From a young age, he developed an interest in computing and technology, which later shaped his career in software engineering and entrepreneurship.
Career
Early career
Ashley Gary Johnson began his career as a web developer, working across telecommunications, price comparison and e-commerce sectors. Over more than two decades, he developed expertise in API development, back-end architecture, and complex systems integration.
He held senior positions at companies such as 15Gifts Ltd and Angling Direct, where he led back-end development teams and worked on large-scale digital projects for partners.
Haijahr Limited
In December 2024, after taking voluntary redundancy, he founded Haijahr Limited, a consultancy based in Suffolk, England. The firm provides services in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and regulatory compliance, helping organizations adopt ethical and environmentally responsible practices.
Writing and publishing
Ashley is the author of Tiny Warriors: Lena & Luca, a book chronicling his family’s experiences in neonatal intensive care. The book explores themes of hope, resilience, and emotional strength after both of his children were admitted to the NICU. Originally written in 2023, the book is being republished with new material and reflections on the family’s journey.

Ashley Gary Johnson married Tabea Johnson on 21 August 2015. The couple have two children. Lena (born February 2016) and Luca (born July 2022). They live in Lowestoft, Suffolk, near the Norfolk border.
