Hi @Errizona, just to let you know that your changes to the above article have been undone for the following reasons:

• Articles behind paywalls aren’t disallowed on Wikipedia – they’re treated just the same as any other source. There’s even a parameter in Template:Cite web called url-access=subscription which indicates that a source is behind a paywall.
• planespotters.net is a deprecated source per WP:PLANESPOTTERS, as it is essentially a Wiki in its own right, primarily consisting of user-submitted content
• Personal Smugmug websites are also not generally permitted I’m afraid, as these are self-published sources – they don’t have editorial oversight, and as such can’t really be regarded as reliable.

I know this is a lot, and for that I apologise, I just wanted to make sure the reversion was properly explained. My best suggestion would be to have a read of WP:RS which details what constitutes a reliable source and gives a brief overview of what might not be considered such.

– I apologize if my original talk page post was unclear, – I did leave the paywall source in the article, I was just trying to articulate i couldn’t identify what parts of the article it was backing.

– As for bullet points 1 & 2, my apologies…does make my ears burn a little bit that i missed a page full of things NOT to cite. Ive bookmarked the reliable wp:sources/perennial page and will consult it from now on. Been reading the WP:RS page on and off all day. Will make sure to read several times thoroughly before i resume editing.
