Temporary full protection: Requesting the unusual step of a 12 to 24 hour full protection of the talk page. The talk page is encroaching on basically being unusable due to traffic and is seeing repeated and sustained WP:BLPCRIME violations DESPITE being under ECP. Believe a short period of full protection might provide enough time for the tempo to reduce and allow for constructive discussion to return. Indefinite semi-protection: Since the page’s protection level was lowered to indef WP:PCPP after a 16-year WP:SEMI reign, all edits have been instances of vandalism from IP editors. If this continues, editors could be potentially overwhelmed by their duty to review changes. For this reason — and the fact that the page’s lowered protection was because of a request — I suggest the page should retain its former protection level. If an avalanche of vandalism resumes after a 16 year long protection is lifted, I can’t imagine the page’s future being very bright. Giovanni Potage (talk) 07:27, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
