The Bluth’s Original Frozen Banana Stand is a fictional food stand from the American satirical sitcom Arrested Development. It is operated by the series’ protagonists, the Bluth family.
Background and role in Arrested Development
The Bluth’s Original Frozen Banana Stand is based on a real life cookie stand that series creator Mitchell Hurwitz and his brother ran when they were children. It was called “The Chipyard”, and was built out of an abandoned taco stand in Newport Beach, California. As of 2011, The Chipyard was still being run by Hurwitz’s father, Mark.[1]
