Fehlinger gained notability and popularity after criticizing various authoritarian and populist governments across the world and calling for their disbandment, not to mention that he made appearances on mass media via TV debates, you can also find articles by independent media about his economic proposals (https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-polytics/3353368-gunther-fehlinger-austrian-economist.html) and citations of economic studies where he participated (https://ec.europa.eu/employment_social/esf/docs/sf_entrepreneurship_en.pdf). Keep Gunther has always been a figure in worldwide for his actions on social media and appeared on TV channels too. There has been troll campaigns against him that got him fired from his job and now they are targeting his Wikipedia pages in all languages and the person who started this deletion request is a Serbian individual with no other contributions to Wikipedia other than Serbian people. I also saw while going through his replies that he posted some sort of meme gif indicating that I’m him as a response to someone saying “You are Srpska1992”, and of course that’s false, I’m not Sinisa either. Regardless, apologies for any confusion. However, I do suggest you read Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding meatpuppetry, as I’ve noticed Gunther and his supporters have called for people to create Wikipedia accounts or use their existing ones to reply “Keep”, which goes against the guidelines in question. Keep I did just create a wikipedia account just for this. But Gunther Fehlinger does have a massive following. He has just made massive news about his recent #ExIndia comment. Which got him blocked from Indian side of X (Formerly Twitter).

https://x.com/GunterFehlinger/status/1964613351604113846 . And he is even shown in a Hearts of Iron 4 mod called “The Fire Rises”. The reddit community of the mod has made him like a “God” to them. But he is also known in R/Balkan_irl.

The reason why you might be called a vandal, is that Gunther has been very critical of the serbian state. He has done a “#ExSerbia”, and he began recieving death threats and alot of other nasty stuff. (You should known by reading the article). And that he was fired from his job due to a serbian national taking credit of reporting him to the company. (Again it is stated in the article.)

So, considering you have “Srpska” in your name, you shouldn’t be surprised at all that people are thinking you are being a vandal.

But, I stated my opinions on this matter.

Hello srpska. I am acting in good faith, and I have always loved how wikipedia worked. However, your tone is rather harsh, which I might need to get used to.

Still, my point still stands. I have made some edits to the article, which has some crucial missing context. Which may have led to the AfD in the first place.

I dont see this AfD as an act of vandalism, or as an attack on gunther, but just a simple misunderstanding.

Hello! I am not basing his notability off of twitter. Rather, him being an actual advisor on issues with him being a speaker on multiple conferences.

He was the chairman of the EDS for 2 years, which with some of the other chairmen, like Bettina Machaczek (Has an article in the german version of wikipedia). She has even less notability than Gunther Fehlinger in comparison, yet her article has been up since 2007.

However, you are entitled to your own opinion, and we may disagree. But I do hope that it does provide valuable insight.

Hello Srpska. I am merely acting in good faith. Despite your actions which may seem hostile to outsiders, I believe this AfD was merely opened due to lack of sources from his… MANY amounts of mentions in news articles.

I belive deleting his article may result in further confusion about his role. Especially the fact that he is mistaken as an actual nato member.

I have gotten an email from gunther. He only knows my email, due to me asking about if he can licsense a picture of himself under CC-BY-SA 4.0. Where he provided a bunch of links to alot of articles. Both in english and alot in foreign.

I have asked you for help in your talk page to comb through it, since you have way more experience than I do. But I have yet to see a response.

I hope I dont take much off your day though, as I am, and do not want to, act hostile to you.

Delete as WP:BASIC prefers substantial sourcing. The Sixsmith article feels like routine meme coverage; the other independent sources discuss his statements, backlash to controversy, etc, and not the subject himself. I can definitely agree some of the sources here are… questionable at best. I am currently working on getting some news articles cited on him… and there is quite alot.

Apparently, he sent an entire docx to the wikipedia team in 2023, due to his article being under AfD aswell during the time.
