Saudi architect

Ibrahim Nawaf Joharji (born 21 December 1983) is a Saudi architect based in Jeddah who founded INJ Architects in 2009.[1]

Joharji was born in Mecca and graduated from Umm Al-Qura University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, specializing in Islamic architecture.[2] He holds a master’s degree in Engineering Project Management.[3]

Joharji established his architectural practice in Jeddah in 2009.[4]

The Indonesian Consulate building in Jeddah, designed by his firm, features a facade with parametric patterns based on Indonesian batik and Islamic geometric designs.[5]

Joharji has written about what he terms “Archigenetics,” a concept proposing connections between architectural forms and cultural identity.[6]
