This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Uganda. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace “PageName” with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Uganda|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Uganda. For the other XfD’s, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia’s deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Tagged for notability since April. Notability very doubtful IMV so bringing here for consensus. Mccapra (talk) 20:39, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

I came across this article due to a LTA user repeatedly spamming their “Nyanzi Martin Luther” hoax info. When I looked at the rest of the content I realised this version was mostly unsourced and extremely dubious.
I found this watchdoguganda.com source that claimed it was based on the “The 2025 Forbes Africa Billionaires List” so updated the article based on that. The same was also published on nkonagroup.com under different author. However I have subsequently accessed the “Forbes Billionaires: Africa’s Richest People 2025” (as it was blocked on the UK!) and it mentions no Ugandans. 129.205.21.157 then pointed to this omarosaomarosa.com source with very different names and net-worth’s.
Doing some digging I foundbillionaires.africa that claims Sudhir Ruparelia again as No.1 but at $250 million rather than $1.6 billion, but Forbes had him at $800M in 2015.
I asked at the RS noticeboard here that pointed to Forbes, Bloomberg and The Times for such articles. As already stated the “Forbes Billionaires: Africa’s Richest People 2025” has no Ugandans, not does the Bloomberg Billionaires Index The The Sunday Times Rich List does not list countries but “Sudhir Ruparelia” is not on it.
So failing to find any reliable sources I think the best thing is to delete and if any sources appear in the future start again.
TLDR: I can find no reliable sources for rich Ugandans, just lots of dubious contradictory sources. WP:TNT KylieTastic (talk) 12:19, 13 September 2025 (UTC)

No evidence this museum passes WP:GNG. One source in the article is a nonexistent link. (A similar link on the same site goes to the similarly named Madi Community Museum, a different museum in a different location.) Likewise, the second source refers to the Madi Community Museum, not this one. The Unesco source has no reference to this or the other museum. The final link is a news story that is a single passing WP:TRIVIALMENTION of the museum. I didn’t find any other coverage in my WP:BEFORE search. Dclemens1971 (talk) 19:18, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

Not seeing evidence this Ugandan footballer passes WP:GNG or WP:NSPORT. There’s only one source that gets close to WP:SIGCOV (here) and it’s probably not independent since it appears to be based solely on quotes from the subject. The rest of the coverage is match and transfer coverage. She’s on a provisional squad for the country’s women’s national team but has not actually played for the national team. Might be a case of WP:TOOSOON but I’m not seeing it now. (If you find anything qualifying I might have missed in my search, please ping me.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 19:26, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

This was sent to draft yesterday (Draft:Mwakwe Rashid) but a new version has been added back to mainspace by the same creator. In my WP:BEFORE, I was unable to find any significant coverage from an independent source. Agookya Media is not independent as Rashid clearly writes all of their content. Likewise, Proshiba Foundation is not independent. All of the sources relating to Bobi Wine don’t seem to even mention Rashid so do not confer notability either. In fact, I don’t know what value they add at all other than to WP:REFBOMB and mislead. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 08:05, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
