The Sax-a-boom is an electronic toy saxophone from Shoot the Moon II, a subsidiary of “DSI Toys” (which has now gone bankrupt). Each key on the instrument plays a musical clip that sounds almost like a saxophone. A Sax-a-boom is a toy electronic saxophone.
The Sax-a-boom is an electronic toy saxophone from Shoot the Moon II, a subsidiary of “DSI Toys” (which has now gone bankrupt). Each key on the instrument plays a musical clip that sounds almost like a saxophone. The Kawasaki branding is purely for aesthetics and Sax-a-boom says Kawasaki has no involvement whatsoever in the production of the toy.
The toy became famous through the band Tenacious D. Jack Black has used this toy instrument during performances and talk show appearances. Tenacious D have used the Sax-a-boom toy during a tour.
