Information icon Hi ~2025-37120-26! I noticed that you’ve made several edits in order to restore your preferred version of Martin Van Buren. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you’re aware of Wikipedia’s edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you’re doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement at Talk:Martin Van Buren, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors’ changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. You have already been directed to read Talk:Martin Van Buren/Archive 2#Rfc for Martin Van Buren’s Lede Image. Peaceray (talk) 00:59, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at James K. Polk. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia’s policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 01:01, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

icon Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Millard Fillmore, you may be blocked from editing. Peaceray (talk) 01:01, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Franklin Pierce. Peaceray (talk) 01:01, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I did not see the messages and I get what was wrong with Van Buren but I edited that to show him DURING his presidency and the other ones don’t give an estimate of when a photo was taken but shows EXACTLY what they looked like during there presidency and I’m sorry ~2025-37120-26 (talk) 01:20, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You may discuss your proposed edits & get consensus on the talk pages for each article. Otherwise WP:EDITCONSENSUS prevails on US presidential infobox images. Peaceray (talk) 01:31, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What did you mean by that ~2025-37120-26 (talk) 02:22, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think that is pretty plain. Go to an article’s talk page, open a new conversation, & give your reasons why an image should be changed. If there is consensus for the change, then it can happen. If not, the status quo will prevail. This will be true for virtually all US presidential infobox images. Peaceray (talk) 03:18, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please unblock me ~2025-37120-26 (talk) 02:23, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I want to try to add photos of people who don’t have photos on their Wikipedia page ~2025-37120-26 (talk) 02:27, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
