::::@[[User:Bearian|Bearian]] “Already sourced” as in they had External links but no citations? Those could arguably still count as a point. Or already had citations (i.e. footnotes)? I wouldn’t worry about those at this point; a reviewer will catch them and they will get deducted (or not); if not, no one dies and the encyclopedia is still better for it. It’s the “one case [that] didn’t verify the information” that is problematic for the encyclopedia. Just fix that one or if you can’t, tell me where it is and I will fix it or find someone who can. Your account has been granted the “templateeditor” user permission, allowing you to edit templates and modules that have been protected with template protection. It also allows you to bypass the title blacklist, giving you the ability to create and edit editnotices. Before you use this user right, please read Wikipedia:Template editor and make sure you understand its contents. In particular, you should read the section on wise template editing and the criteria for revocation.

You can use this user right to perform maintenance, answer edit requests, and make any other simple and generally uncontroversial edits to templates, modules, and edinotices. You can also use it to enact more complex or controversial edits, after those edits are first made to a test sandbox, and their technical reliability as well as their consensus among other informed editors has been established. If you are willing to process edit requests on templates and modules, keep in mind that you are taking responsibility to ensure the edits have consensus and are technically sound.

This user right gives you access to some of Wikipedia’s most important templates and modules; it is critical that you edit them wisely and that you only make edits that are backed up by consensus. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

If you were granted the permission on a temporary basis you will need to re-apply for the permission a few days before it expires including in your request a permalink to the discussion where it was granted and a {{ping}} for the administrator who granted the permission. You can find the permalink in your rights log.

My bad. When I reverted your edit on Randwick DRUFC saying in my edit summary: “But it doesn’t cite any sources” I didn’t notice that you had added a source. My bad. And no, I am not a Randwick supporter, I am a Gordon supporter. Thank you Servite et contribuere (talk) 10:10, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The original hook was:
The original was better because it’s front-weighted (readers prefer when the bolded article link is toward the start of the sentence), and slightly off-balance rhythmically. But it would probably only have performed marginally better. C’est la vie. Cielquiparle (talk) 14:26, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your efforts have already saved two of my pages from the chopping block (Maria Antònia Mínguez and Raphaël van Praag), thus salvaging my 0% deletion ratio (I’m currently 814–0, and aiming for the rare 1,000–0).

Kind regards. Barr Theo (talk) 01:30, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: I have done it! I now officially have 1,000 articles with ZERO deletions. This wouldn’t have been possible without you, so thanks again. Barr Theo (talk) 13:59, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Heh thanks. Huge respect @NorthernWinds for hitting the top of the leaderboard just like you said. Seriously you and many others have contributed to WikiProject URA’s reduction of the Unreferenced article backlog by ~48k since February 2024 when we were at ~112k. Now less than 64k to go. Keep going and happy referencing! Cielquiparle (talk) 18:12, 2 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, welcome, welcome Cielquiparle! I’m glad that you are joining the June 2025 drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Hi there. Would you have any idea why this edit was not included in my point totals for the drive? JTtheOG (talk) 18:40, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@JTtheOG Looped you in to the phab ticket discussion. Really odd that a handful are not appearing. Cielquiparle (talk) 19:17, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Great recovery job on Cover Story (2002 film). Good work on finding sources! Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 19:14, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, have worked on Mudaima a bit. But not sure if it is what’s needed. Kindly see if it is ok as it gets deleted Nov 15. thanks Davidindia (talk) 02:40, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nice @Davidindia. I have de-prodded, de-orphaned, and removed the conflicting category. It seems WikiProject Medicinal Botany is defunct anyway. It’s sort of borderline dictionary definition to have two descriptions but let’s just leave it. Cielquiparle (talk) 03:55, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reviewing and copy editing this list. I’m still adding citations as I find more. The work is never done. Bearian (talk) 01:08, 20 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You’re on fire (in a good way) @Bearian! Thanks for going above and beyond, for adding so many citations everywhere and for fixing so many mistagged articles to boot. (I did notice when you overtook me in the marathon. Well done. Your stealth move into second place for November seems quite safe.) I thought of you when I added exactly one reference to 1984 in hip-hop which you had tagged as unreferenced (“expand the lede” method). Working at volume from so many angles is surreal, it’s like half the time you don’t even remember that you’re the one who tagged the article as unreferenced in the first place. Cielquiparle (talk) 04:41, 20 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind words. Bearian (talk) 04:43, 20 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I found that 8 articles that I’d sourced, after reviews, either had already been sourced or in one case didn’t verify the information. Do you need the titles, or do you have a system for figuring out the points? Bearian (talk) 04:03, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t think the award needed to be noted, as it’s not from a noteworthy organization. Country music articles should generally be limited to Grammy, ACM, CMA, or in general, any other long lasting institution that has an article.
