Jirai kei (Japanese: 地雷系, Hepburn: Jirai kei; lit. landmine type) is a Japanese subculture and fashion style influenced by both mental health discourse, social media, and internet culture.[1][2]
- Menhera, (メンヘラ) a slang term, literally meaning “mental health-er”
- Jirai onna, (地雷女 “lit. landmine woman/girl”) a derogatory term, typically used to describe women who displays “explosive” behaviors in intimate relationships
- Pien, (ぴえん the “pleading emoji”) An onomatopoeic expression associated with pleading
