Aaccording to latest news, the perpetrator did arson many vehicle, then rental house, and knife attack after than. It incident not only series knift attack, but arson also include in this case.^[1] GhostEyeHK (talk) 14:57, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Updated, the perpetrator also did arson and throws smoke grenade in the MRT station. And some Taiwan news stated that this is terrorist attack.^[2] GhostEyeHK (talk) 15:06, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the nature of this attack, I’d broadly label it as a “terror attack,” though some ZH Wikipedians might interpret it differently. We got his motive now, he plan to spread the fear about the cities and government^[4]. Also, news state that perpetrator plan to do massacre at Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan Station. However due to a man attempted to stop him at Taipei Main Station, he abandons the plan to do massacre at Taipei Main Station^[5]. This incident meet the definition of terrorism. I still firmly believe it was a terror incident, as the perpetrator planned the attack thoroughly in advance. • Sources uses ‘北捷’ (Taipei Metro), ‘北車’ (Taipei Main Station) more common than ‘台北’ (Taipei).
• Taipei stabbing implies it occurs over a larger area than it actually did
• Chinese page uses 2025年台北捷運無差別攻擊事件, which translates to ‘2025 Taipei Metro indiscriminate attacks’.
• Lots of other stabbings have occurred in 2025 Taipei (it’s a big city). ‘2025 Taipei stabbings’ implies the page is about all stabbings that occurred in Taipei in 2025.

I disagree with this, in talk discussion on Chinese page wiki, they feel the “2025年台北捷運無差別攻擊事件” (2025 Taipei Metro Stabbings) title are not suitable for currently situation, because the perpetrator was arson at different place in Taipei city. Also, the perpetrator not only massacre at Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan Station. He did massacre outside the metro station (outside Zhongshan Station and inside Eslite Spectrum Nanxi). So the ‘2025 Taipei Metro Stabbings’ title cannot fully cover the whole situation which it also happen outside the metro station. GhostEyeHK (talk) 12:51, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
