Maung Thin (English)

Maung Thin (English) is a Burmese translator, author, and photographer based in Mandalay. He is known for his English translations of contemporary Burmese poetry and his involvement in regional media and photography initiatives.

Back-to-Back Air (2015)

Maung Thin has translated the works of several Burmese poets into English, including Aung Ba Nyo, Clint (Mandalay), and Maung Hnin Khet.[1]

Nostalgia Yadanarbon

In 2015, his translation collection titled Back-to-Back Air was published by Pentagon Book House.[2] He is also the author of the translation work Nostalgia Yadanarbon.

As a member of the Upper Myanmar Photography Association, Maung Thin has produced multiple photo essays. His investigative project, “The Many Faces of Wirathu,” was presented at the Yangon Photo Festival, providing a photographic documentation of the controversial monk.[3]

In addition to his creative work, he has been an organizer for media-related events in Mandalay, including activities for World Poetry Day, World Press Freedom Day, and Media Ethics Day.[4]
