I’m delighted you found a source to support that statement. It’s the kind of striking statistic that belongs in the lead of the article — but, though I had no reason to doubt it, the original editor failed to provide the source and I couldn’t dredge it up in spite of a fair amount of time trying to Google Scholar it.
