::I figured that’s what you did, but the two logos aren’t really the same se; moreover, it’s not totally clear-cut that the older logo needed to be licensed as non-free: someone did tag it with Maybe free media after all. Anyway, it’s OK for you to be bold when uploading logos and license them as either PD-logo or PD-ineligible-USonly if your self-assessment is that the logo is too simple to need to be licensed as non-free content, at least per :c:COM:TOO US. (You need to remember that Commons would require the logo be “PD-logo” both in the US and country of first publication, which in this case is :c:COM:Belgium; if there’s any doubt as to that, “PD-ineleigble-USonly” might be a better option.) The template information can be used pretty much the same way as the non-free use rationale, and the license just needs to be changed. Hi – a small request, if you close your own nomination, please leave a note in the closing summary explaining why (in this case, you might have just written, no longer red linked). Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 12:03, 15 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Cipher Sports Technology Group logo.svg. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —B-bot (talk) 02:13, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Minorax. Is there a specific reason why you’ve licensed File:Positive Money logo.svg as non-free content? It seems fairly simple to me, at least simple enough to be PD-ineligible-USonly even if still too complex for Commons per c:COM:Belgium. Normally, I would just boldly relicense something such as this; however, since you do lots of work with files, I’m just curious as to why you decided to go with a non-free license here. — Marchjuly (talk) 07:07, 20 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Good day. I generally just copy the template from whatever file it supersedes, in this case, it’s File:Logo of Positive Money.png. Feel free to relicense the files in future. —Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 07:52, 20 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I figured that’s what you did, but the two logos aren’t really the same se; moreover, it’s not totally clear-cut that the older logo needed to be licensed as non-free: someone did tag it with Maybe free media after all. Anyway, it’s OK for you to be bold when uploading logos and license them as either PD-logo or PD-ineligible-USonly if your self-assessment is that the logo is too simple to need to be licensed as non-free content, at least per c:COM:TOO US. (You need to remember that Commons would require the logo be “PD-logo” both in the US and country of first publication, which in this case is c:COM:Belgium; if there’s any doubt as to that, “PD-ineleigble-USonly” might be a better option.) The template information can be used pretty much the same way as the non-free use rationale, and the license just needs to be changed. If you think it might be too close to call or are otherwise not sure, you can always ask for input at WP:MCQ or tag the file with “Maybe free media” yourself. — Marchjuly (talk) 09:57, 20 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
