AfricTivistes was established on 26 November 2015 by Senegalese digital strategist [[Cheikh Fall (Senegal activist)|Cheikh Fall]], Aisha Dabo and other digital activists with the initial name being “African bloggers and cyberactivists”, and with the mission of promoting democracy, human rights, and good governance using digital tools and civic tech.
