Antonio Zeoli (born 1964) is an Italian politician serving as Mayor of Santa Croce Del Sannio and General Surgeon.[1]
Antonio Zeoli was born on February 12 1964 in Santa Croce Del Sannio.[1][2]
Professionally, Zeoli has worked in the healthcare sector as a general practitioner.[2][3]
Zeoli first entered local politics through a civic list called “Progetto Insieme”. In the June 2017 municipal elections, he was elected to the Santa Croce del Sannio town council on this list [1] Following the election, he was appointed as an assessore (a member of the mayor’s executive team) in the municipal government, serving under Mayor Antonio Di Maria. By 2021 he had risen to the position of vice-sindaco (deputy mayor) in Di Maria’s administration.[4][5]
In the municipal election held on 12 June 2022, Antonio Zeoli was the winning candidate for mayor. He led the same civic list Progetto Insieme and won a decisive victory: 453 votes (83.9%), securing the mayoralty in the first round.[6] He officially took office on 13 June 2022.[2][3] Shortly after taking office, in December 2022 he and allies joined the center-right Forza Italia party.[7]
