Born on 4 May 1782[2] birthplace unknown. She was the only child of Charles Alain, Prince of Guéméné and his wife, Louise Aglaé de Conflans d’Armentiere. Her paternal grandmother was governess to the children of Louis XVI and his wife, Marie Antoinette.[3]
She married her paternal uncle, Louis Victor Meriadec de Rohan, the Duke of Bouillon on 23 July 1800.[4] This marriage produced no children, or unconsummated. Consequently, when her father died in 1836, he left no direct descendants, and the primary Rohan titles eventually passed to her cousins. The marriage was intended to consolidate the family’s titles and holdings during their exile.
