Biodun Sofuyi Olabiyi ⓘ(born December 26, 1979),<[1] commonly known as Omobutty or Biodun Okeowo,[2] is a Nigerian actress,[3] film producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist.[4][5] Omobutty starred in the 2006 movie Opin Irin Ajo[6] alongside Olu Jacobs and King Wasiu Ayinde. For her movie Tolani Osinrin, she received a MAN’s Top Three Actress award in 2010. She is the first Yoruba Artiste ever to clinch the Global Excellence award[1] and she is known for her performances in Yoruba-language Nollywood films, earning recognition for her contributions to the Nigerian film industry and humanitarian causes.[7][8]

Early life and education
Olabiyi was born at Highland Maternity Hospital, Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. She is the only daughter in a family of five children. Her father was a pastor at the Holy Spiritual Circle Church, and her mother worked as a trader and businesswoman. She completed her tertiary education at Lagos State University, Ojo, where she majored in Communication Studies.
Career
She made the self-produced film Tolani Osinrin in 2007. Her movie Omobutty, another self produced movie, became both critically and popularly acclaimed, earning her the nickname in 2014.[8][1] In an interview in February 2025, Biodun described her break from Nollywood, dealing with public scrutiny, and her firm stance against on-screen nudity.[9]
Endorsements
Olabiyi has made endorsement deals. She has worked with brands like Unique Motors,[10] Luciano Clothing and Asint homes. These include being an ambassador for brands like Sterling Bank and Oasis Naija.[11]
Humanitarian activities
Olabiyi has participated in charity work and outreach, donating food, toiletries, and basic welfare supplies, especially in festive seasons and during public health drives.[12]
