Señorita Antioquia 2023-2024

Catalina’s career in beauty pageants began in June 2023, when she was decreed as the new Miss Antioquia for the next edition of Miss Colombia pageant (Concurso Nacional de Belleza), that would be carried out during the month of November of the 2023 but after the pageant was cancelled and postponed a year later, having 1 more year her title as sovereign of Antioquia.[11]

In the competition, she stood out as one of the favorite candidates to obtain the title of Miss Colombia 2024 in its 90 years of history, which Sofía Osío from Atlántico held at that time. Her performance during the course of the contest allowed her to become the winner on the night of November 10, 2024 in the city of Cartagena, Bolívar as is customary in tradition of the beauty pageant.[12]
After 28 years, her victory gave its department the title number 7 in the history of the Miss Colombia pageant, a distinction that the department hadn’t obtained since Claudia Elena Vásquez in 1996.
