Upcoming Indian film by Aditya Dhar
Dhurandhar (transl. Stalwart) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller film written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners Jio Studios and B62 Studios. It stars an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, alongside Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles.[1][2]
Dhurandhar is scheduled to release on 5 December 2025.[3]

Production
Development
The film was officially announced in July 2024 by Ranveer Singh on social media platforms.[4] Later, in December 2024 the official title was revealed as Dhurandhar.[5] The film is reportedly inspired by real-life incidents, global conflicts, and covert operations of RAW.[6]
Casting
In July 2024, Ranveer Singh was cast as the main lead alongside Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan.[7] Later, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal were also cast in supporting roles.[8] In October 2024, Sara Arjun was cast opposite Singh.[9] Singh plays the role of a RAW agent, while Madhavan was reported to be playing the role of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.[10][11]
Filming
The first schedule began in July 2024 in Bangkok.[12] The second schedule commenced in November 2024 near Amritsar and Golden Temple.[13] In February 2025, filming took place in Filmistan, Mumbai.[14] Later, filming took place across Madh Island and the schedule was wrapped by late April 2025.[15] In May 2025, some action sequences were filmed at Mankoli bridge.[16] In July 2025, a dance number was filmed at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle.[17] Several scenes set in Pakistan were re-created in Thailand.[18] In August 2025, filming moved to Ladakh however it was halted after several crew members were hospitalised due to food poisoning.[19] Singh wrapped up his portions by October 2025.[20]
Music
The film’s music is composed by Shashwat Sachdev,[21] with lyrics written by Kumaar and Irshad Kamil.[22]
The title track was released on 15 October 2025.[23] It was a remake of the 1995 song “Na Dil De Pardesi Nu” by Muhammad Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur, composed by Charanjit Ahuja and written by Babu Singh Maan.[24] In 2003, it was remixed by Panjabi MC as “Jogi“.[25] The music rights were acquired by Saregama.[citation needed]
Marketing
The first-look poster was released on 6 July 2025, coinciding with Ranveer Singh’s 40th birthday. A teaser was unveiled the same day,[3] featuring vocals by Jasmine Sandlas. The soundtrack includes a rap segment by Hanumankind.[26] The official trailer was released on 18 November 2025.[27]
Release
Dhurandhar is scheduled for a theatrical release on 5 December 2025.[3][28]
