It appears that the ‘gatekeepers’ of Wikipedia are demanding a review, or multiple reviews, of this book by scholarly sources, and/or a source that discusses how the book has been received by experts in the field. This seems like a much higher bar than what is normally required for articles about books, but I guess that’s how it is. No article on Wikipedia is apparently better than an incomplete one, but few people are likely to see, or contribute, to a draft article, so it’s not clear how the article will ever meet the required standard. :Although the book has been reviewed by multiple reliable sources outside the U.S., I find it surprising that no U.S. media outlets have apparently reviewed it. This seems like an amazing coincidence – not a single publication in the entire United States found this book notable, even though reviews have appeared in major publications in the UK, Ireland and Australia? It appears that the ‘gatekeepers’ of Wikipedia are demanding a review, or multiple reviews, of this book by scholarly sources, and/or a source that discusses how the book has been received by experts in the field. This seems like a much higher bar than what is normally required for articles about books, but I guess that’s how it is. No article on Wikipedia is apparently better than an incomplete one, but few people are likely to see, or contribute, to a draft article, so it’s not clear how the article will ever meet the required standard. Although the book has been reviewed by multiple reliable sources outside the U.S., I find it surprising that no U.S. media outlets have apparently reviewed it. This seems like an amazing coincidence – not a single publication in the entire United States found this book notable, even though reviews have appeared in major publications in the UK, Ireland and Australia?
