The 2019 F1600 Championship Series season was the eighth season of the F1600 Championship Series.
Jonathan Kotyk defended his 2018 SCCA National Runoffs – Formula F victory this year with K-Hill Motorsports, which also signed him to contest F1600 Championship Series.
Fellow Team USA scholar and Team Pelfrey drive Josh Green was his main rival, and the pair were unbeaten in the first 12 races of the season. F2000 driver Simon Sikes stepped down a category and interrupted that run at Pittsburgh, and when their dominance resumed it was Kotyk who had the advantage in the remaining six races.[1]
F1600 Series runner up, Josh Green, was chosen as a Team USA Scholarship Winner for the 2019 season. Josh Green will receive a myriad of beneficial supporting services as a result.[2]
Scott Rubenzer takes the top spot as The F1600 Master Champion. Standing on the Final Podium of 2019, Bob Reid took second place, and Mike Scanlan third.
For 2019, Alvise Anti was awarded this recognition. Alvise embodies the roots and the backbone of FRP. As a privateer, “a one man shop”, he kept his son Charles (#26) in the hunt amongst a highly competitive field prepped by the big teams.[3]
- (M): indicates Masters Class driver (for drivers 39 years and older)
