Overview/Off-Season The 2025-26 Australian Sprintcar Summer shaped up to be an exciting season for the sport with current Australian champion James McFadden driving for Team Brady Racing gearing up for the new summer with a successful stint over in the United States with Tarlton Motorsports #21T with 7 victories from 29 race starts including 4 in a row to start during the Fastest 5 Days in Motorsports and the Capitani Classic to kick off Knoxville Nationals week where he would end up 17th in the Feature on Saturday night. This kept him sharp and firing to defend not only his Australian Championship Title but Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic crown as well. Jmac was not alone in venturing over to the United States with Kerry Madsen having a very successful season with a win at Jackson Motorplex highlighting a consistent season across the Vermeer Motorsports #55v and the famed Tony Stewart Racing #15. A massive bright spot out of the USA season was the emergence of young Aussie Ryan Newton driving his family owned #66 claiming 2 victories for the season at Lernerville and at Lucas Oil for the 15th annual Hockett/McMillan memorial in one of the biggest victories of his short career. Once again Brock Hallett made the trek over to the US running for Australian based outfit GW Racing in Ohio picking up a win at Fremont in his short 12 race stint. US based Aussie's Scott Bogucki and Lynton Jeffrey once again completed 30+ race schedules in America and whilst no wins came their way Bogucki finished on the podium once at Knoxville Raceway amongst 4 top 5 finishes on the season whilst Jeffrey battled to 4 top 10 finishes on the season at Knoxville aboard the Trone Outdoor #39. Lovable USA based veteran and legend of Australian sprintcar racing Brooke Tatnell was once again aboard the family ran #14 for most of the season recording 4 top 10's on the season whilst filling in aboard the TKS Motorsport #2KS for the Knoxville Nationals. It was a successful return to USA sprintcar racing for Ian Madsen who in 12 starts aboard the TKS motorsport #2KS finished 2nd twice at Jackson and Knoxville before a heartbreaking crash and subsequent injury brought an abrupt end to a resurgent season. Perhaps the quiet achiever over the Australian off-season was Jy Corbet who completed a successful run of 19 races in his first USA tour recording 6 top 10 finishes including a 2nd place finish at Huset's Speedway to finish off a very successful maiden tour. Also making his maiden racing voyage to the USA was crowd favourite Alex Attard who competed in 21 races across Pennsylvania and recorded 1 top 10 finish at Williams Grove. Finally, Veteran Paul Solomon also made 1 start for the season that unfortunately finished in him destroying his car in the heat race at the Hockett/McMillan memorial.
