99 Nights in the Forest is a survival-horror video game on Roblox, developed by Grandma’s Favourite Games, released on 4 March 2025. Players must survive across 99 consecutive nights in a hostile forest environment, build and defend a camp, gather resources, and face supernatural threats, including a creature known as “The Deer”.
In 99 Nights in the Forest, players begin in a forest setting where the objective is to survive 99 nights. During the day players gather resources (wood, food, coal), build and upgrade their campfire‑based base, and explore for loot. At night, hostile entities including bears, wolves, cultists and the primary antagonist The Deer appear and attack the base or players directly. Bears and wolves may additionally be encountered during the day, at which point they will attack the players.
Additional features include the option to rescue four missing children hidden in the forest; doing so affects progression and survival strategy, multiplayer cooperative play, and increased threats and stronger enemies on later nights.
The players are trapped in a forest (originally a research lab) home to a mutant deer. The players survive 99 nights and kill the Deer.[1]
The game was developed by Grandma’s Favourite Games and launched in 4 March 2025. The game’s success is noted in gaming media as a prominent survival horror game on the Roblox platform.[2]
99 Nights in the Forest has achieved large‑scale popularity: it recorded billions of visits and millions of concurrent players on the Roblox platform. Critically, publications have drawn attention to its gameplay escalation, atmosphere, and survival mechanics.[3]
