Akshay Mhatre is an Indian television actor who is best known for his lead roles in Savar Re, Piyaa Albela, Ghar Ek Mandir – Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki, Yeh Dil Mannge More and Punha Kartavya Aahe.[1]

Personal life

In December 2023, Mhatre got married to his co-star of Ghar Ek Mandir – Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki, Shrenu Parikh, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in Vadodara.[2]

Career

Mhatre began his acting journey on television with the ETV Marathi series Savar Re, a remake of the popular Hindi show Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.[3] The success of Savar Re opened the door for his feature film debut in the 2016 movie Youth. He later secured the lead role in the Hindi soap opera Piyaa Albela, which aired on Zee TV and earned widespread appreciation from viewers.[4]
