Alexander M. Petrovich (born in Oakville, Ontario on 22 July 1980) is a Canadian actor and musician known for roles in television and film, with recent work including an appearance in the second season of Netflix‘s Fubar.[1] and an upcoming role in the horror film “Jesus Cop”. He’s also known for a career outside of acting as a musician and author of “Mistakes I’ve Made” [2][3] and co-author of “Gigs From Hell”.[4]

Early life and education

Son of retired journalist Michael Petrovich and nurse Cata Uverić, Alex Petrovich is a London graduate from Fanshawe College‘s Music Industry & Arts, where he specialized in Audio Engineering, Production, and Music Business and Management.

In Windsor, Alex Petrovich is best known by his sobriquet Al “The Yeti” Bones[5] where he ran the Yeti Agency, an artist management company in association with Mia Tyler.[6][7]

Acting career

Films

Petrovich recently appeared in the second season of the Netflix series Fubar, playing the character Vlad, and in the upcoming horror film “Jesus Cop.”[8] He also received a “Best Actor” nomination for “Jesus Cop” at a recent premiere of the “Horror Haus Film Festival” in Toronto. He is known for roles of Patrice Ortega in “A Fermenting Woman”[9], Viktor Kovacic in “Switched at Death”[10], and the character Joe in “Honor’s Half-Life”[11], currently premiering at the 40th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he was nominated for best actor.

Television

The mini TV series “Elegy” starring Alex Petrovich as Sam is currently featured on Tubi[12].

Music

Petrovich is a musician who released more than 10 albums with three original rock bands. He is best known as the frontman of the 2010s “Gypsy Chief Goliath”,[16][17][18][19] and formerly of “Georgian Skull”, and “Mister Bones”. He’s been a part of the global Stoner Rock scene since 1999. Petrovich is also acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the genre within Canada. After the Covid-19 pandemic, his cross-country touring days are now behind him, though he still fondly remembers when he replaced “The Mighty Nimbus” singer Dan Soren (ex-Sixty Watt Shaman)[20] and toured the U.S. from coast to coast in support of Entombed, Crowbar, and Pro-Pain for Candlelight Records in 2005.[21]

Author

He is the author of “Mistakes I’ve Made”, which explores his life’s experiences in the music scene[22] and a chapter in a book entitled “Gigs From Hell: True tales of rock and roll gone wrong”.[23]

Documentary

Petrovich recently moved to the village of Wheatley, some 70 kilometers east of Windsor, where he’s working on a documentary about Wheatley’s early history as the “Freshwater Capital of the World”. The documentary’s title is “From Fish to Flame” which will air on Bell Fibe TV early in 2026.
