Early life and education
Boruzescu was born on August 10, 1988, in Bucharest, Romania. He displayed an early interest in 3d animation, film directing and 3d technology, experimenting with various tools including 3ds Max, Flash ActionScript, and Unreal engine during his youth.
He attended the **Cantemir Vodă National College** in Bucharest from 2003 to 2006, where he specialized in Computer Science.
Following high school, he pursued an artistic direction, studying Film and TV Directing at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” (UNATC)** from 2008 to 2011.
Boruzescu has cited this combination of 3d graphics technology and film directing as pivotal to his career, crediting his film background for providing the interdisciplinary approach required for large-scale production projects.

Andrei Boruzescu began his career working on various 3d animation projects / short films and video game projects, utilizing a wide range of technologies such as 3dsmax, Flash Unity 3D, OGRE.
Between October 2017 and June 2018, he worked as a Teacher of 3D Graphics and Design at **Step IT Academy**, where he instructed students in a 3dsmax course.
Holosee
In June 2016, Boruzescu co-founded **Holosee**, a technology startup focused on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Serving as CEO until February 2020, he led the development of solutions for creating photorealistic AR holograms of real poeple and volumetric video. This venture utilized his background in internet live streaming and modern IT infrastructure to innovate in the field of 3D projection.
Ex-Machina
Andrei Boruzescu co-founded **Ex-Machina** in February 2021, a Bucharest-based game development and 3D animation studio. As the CEO and Creative Director, he oversees the game development and creation of 3d art assets for AAA games, mobile titles, and VR experiences.
His technical role within the company involves work as a Senior 3D Generalist and 3d Animator/Technical Artist, utilizing engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity.
