Battle for Dream Island, also known as BFDI, is an animated web series created by brothers Michael and Cary Huang and carried on the YouTube channel jacknjellify.
Concept and development

The series centres around competition between objects. In each episode, objects such as a pen, a bubble, and a leaf compete to avoid elimination, with viewers voting on which object is eliminated. The series heavily features slapstick humour.[1][2]
The Huang brothers originally conceived of the series at the age of 12 in 2009, releasing their first episode on 1 January 2010. Whilst the original episodes were written by the pair, they eventually recruited additional writers. The pair paused development of the show during their university years, but subsequently resumed production of episodes, and organised live events for the series during 2024, including a watch party in July of the same year.[3] As of 2025, the YouTube channel had more than 3 million subscribers, mostly children.[1][2]
